frequently asked questions

Are frozen meatballs good quality?
Yes, Angel Bay frozen meatballs are made with 100% New Zealand beef, then part-cooked and snap-frozen to lock in flavour and texture. This gives you consistently juicy beef meatballs that are ready in minutes.
Are Angel Bay beef meatballs pre-cooked?
Angel Bay beef meatballs are part-cooked before freezing. That means they heat through quickly, stay tender, and make it easy to get dinner on the table fast.
How do you cook frozen meatballs safely?

Cook Angel Bay frozen meatballs until they’re piping hot all the way through and reach an internal temperature of at least 75 °C to ensure they’re safe to eat. Because they’re part‑cooked and made with quality New Zealand beef, they don’t take long and stay juicy and delicious.

Quick guide (from frozen):

  • Pan, BBQ or stovetop: Cook on medium heat for about 14–15 min, turning regularly.
  • Oven (200 °C): Bake for about 9–10 min, turning partway through.
  • Microwave (500 W): Heat about 1 min 30 sec, flip and repeat, then rest for 1–2 min.

Always follow the instructions on the pack for best results and check they’re hot throughout before serving.

Is it better to bake or pan fry beef meatballs?
Both works well. Baking beef meatballs is hands-off and heats them evenly, while pan-frying gives a little extra browning on the outside. With Angel Bay frozen meatballs, either method is quick because they’re part-cooked already, just cook until hot through.
How long do frozen meatballs take to cook?

Angel Bay frozen meatballs are ready in minutes thanks to being part-cooked. Cooking times vary by appliance, so follow the pack instructions and always heat until the centre is over 75°C.
