  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small brown onion
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 4 tsp American Mustard
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c sliced gherkins
  • 8 leaves fancy lettuce
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)

METHOD

  1. Cook the patties according to the instructions on the pack.
  2. Split the burger buns and lightly grill one side. Spread tomato sauce and mustard.
  3. Spread the bottom halves of the buns with tomato sauce and mustard.
  4. Build burgers with onion, gherkins, patty, tomato and lettuce.
  5. Spread mayonnaise on the top halves of the buns to sandwich together.

Chef's Tip: Play around with cheeses for a gourmet twist but stick to young, mild varieties for ultra-meltability.
