A full-flavour burger that fits right into a busy café or pub menu. This gourmet build brings together a juicy beef patty, onion rings, pickles, and a touch of heat, with frozen beef patties keeping prep simple.

Gourmet Beef Burger with Tabasco Onion Rings and Pickles

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • 4 burger cheese slices
  • 40g butter
  • 1/2 head lettuce
  • salt and pepper
  • 40g yellow mustard
  • 40g tomato sauce
  • 80g large pickles, sliced
  • 8 red onions, 5mm thick cut
  • 5 shakes Tabasco Red Pepper sauce
  • 10g flour

METHOD

  1. Toss and marinate the onion rings in Tabasco sauce for 1hr minimum or overnight if possible.
  2. Grill the Angel Bay Gourmet Burger patty until it reaches an internal temperature of 75c. Season if needed. For the final 60 seconds add a slice of cheese to the beef patty.
  3. Whilst the patty is cooking, toss the marinated onion rings in a bowl with flour and deep fry until golden brown and crispy. Season with a little salt.
  4. Toast burger bun and lather with butter.
  5. To build the burger, smear the base with mustard, top with lettuce, Angel Bay Gourmet Patty, tomato sauce, pickles and onion rings, finish with burger bun and serve.
